Claude Cleveland Carroll “Peanut”

July 12, 1961 – July 5, 2025

Claude Cleveland Carroll, lovingly known as “Peanut” and "Igor", passed away on July 5, 2025, just one week shy of his 64th birthday. Born on July 12, 1961, in Alabama, Claude was the beloved son of Beatrice Luz Carroll and Claude Cleveland Carroll, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Marie Carroll and Grandparents Orlando and Mary Helen Chavez.

Peanut was a kind, intelligent, and creative soul. He had a deep love for learning and enjoyed teaching others. Whether he was building something with his hands or simply having a conversation, his curiosity and warmth shone through. He had a special gift for connecting with people—he never met a stranger and always made time to talk.

He was passionate about music, especially classic rock, and could often be found with his favorite songs playing in the background. Peanut found great joy in the outdoors and loved going for long rides on his motorcycle. One of his proudest roles was working as an umpire, where he combined his love of sports with his dedication to fairness and fun.

Peanut is survived by his two sons, Christopher Carroll and Brendan Carroll, his granddaughter Harley Carroll, his brothers James Gregory Carroll and Charles Edward Michael Carroll and many cherished nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends who will miss him deeply and remember him with love.

Claude’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love he gave so freely.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 15th at 8am at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.

Rosary will begin at 8:30am followed by Mass at 9am.

Please accept my most profound condolences to all of Claude's family. I was always happy to see Claude assigned as my partner. We've worked together on games for 15 years. I will miss him and his playing his loud R&R music while getting into his plate gear. But I will miss him and all the smiles we shared.
