Dear Karen and Kaden, It breaks our hearts to read of Chris's untimely passing! We were not able to spend much time with Chris and your family over the years due to distance. However, during the one hike up to Marmot Lake was enough to appreciate his strength, humor and friendly personality! We pray for you, Karen and Kaden, that you will always remember and focus on the good times you had with your husband and father! May the pictures you shared be treasured! I was one of Chris’s army buddies from years ago. We had all gotten together in late February in Az for a few days. It had been a long time but we all just like picked up from when we were all together then. He will be missed. My sincerest condolences to your family.

I’m so sorry about this. I have been friends with Chris since 1990. We both went to AIT in the army together, then stationed in Hood together as well. We were very close back then. We recently started talking again a little over a year ago He has been battling so many demons and working so hard to get everything back on track. We had many conversations and we arranged a small reunion of the guys from Hood. Which ended up being an amazing time together. He will be missed by me and our group of friends from the army. If there is a way to get in touch with his son I would like him to know some of the conversations I had with Chris.
