Antonio “Tony” Cervantes, 49, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on April 4, 2025. Born on February 8, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, Tony was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, and unforgettable sense of humor. His presence brought light and laughter to those around him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness.
Tony is survived by his loving beloved wife, Andrea Cervantes; daughter, Layla Cervantes; step-son, Santiago Chapman; step-daughter, Sarissa Tapia; mother-in-law, Theresa Brito; father-in-law, Andy Brito (Iris); brother, Jesse Cervantes; sisters, Marina Cervantes, Yvonne Perez (Carlos), Darlene Cervantes; and brother-in-law, Michael Brito (Theresa). He was adored by a large extended family of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jennie and Jesse Cervantes; grandparents, Juan and Connie Guerra, and Jesse and Antonia Cervantes; brother-in-law, Ernesto Brito; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tony had a unique gift for connecting with people. Whether it was sharing a laugh, lending a hand, or striking up a conversation—especially about Pokémon Go, the Dodgers, or the Raiders—he made everyone feel welcome and valued. He was a devoted husband and father who always put others before himself. His selflessness, warmth, and unwavering support for those he loved will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, located at 4001 Osuna Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. All who knew and loved Tony are welcome to attend and honor his memory.
