Born in Albuquerque, Joe grew up in LaPuente California. Known for his light-hearted spirit, unique sense of humor, ability to bring light to a situation, love for muscle cars/lowriders and soulful music. He was supportive, heart-centered, and led with integrity & love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Michael N. Tafoya and Trudy J.Trujillo-Tafoya, siblings: Lyl Oliver, Michael Avance, Tony Tafoya, grandson: Francisco and many other beloved family members. Joe is survived by his children: Jacquelyn, Antoinette, Michael and Sarah (Donnell) and grandchildren: Mateo, Lluvia, Marisa, Luna, Josiah, Leland, Eli, Noah, Naima, Nayeli, Catalina, Demi, Bear, Cordero and former wife and forever friend, Margaret Tafoya. He’s also survived by his remaining siblings: Chuck, John E, Hank, Dani and Beth and a myriad of other family members and friends.
Services for Joe will be held during the summer. The Tafoya family would like to thank everyone for their condolences.

Joe was one of the best neighbors anybody could have, he was always willing to help and he was funny. You will be missed.
