Victoria “Vicky” Anne Forsyth, 70, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on July 16, 2026. In her final moments, she was surrounded by the quiet companionship of her beloved dog, Yoda, and her cherished cat, Moxie.

Vicky was born on June 7, 1956, in Hokkaido, Japan, to an Austrian mother and an American father. She spent her childhood growing up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she developed a lifelong love of horses and the outdoors. Her kind heart, strong work ethic, and generous spirit were evident throughout her life.

For many years, Vicky worked as an office manager at Data Fusion Technologies, where she was respected for her dedication and reliability. Later in life, she found lasting love with her longtime partner, Andy Abhold, and together they made their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. While living there, Vicky worked at Santa Fe Greenhouse, where she found joy in helping others and nurturing her passion for plants and gardening.

During her retirement, Vicky devoted herself to one of the greatest joys of her life—helping raise her beloved granddaughter in Albuquerque and traveling with her family. She gave selflessly to those she loved, always putting family, friends, and even her treasured pets before herself. Whether she was tending to her crochet projects, preparing a home-cooked meal, or caring for the people around her, Vicky’s love was expressed through quiet acts of kindness and unwavering generosity.

Vicky is survived by her daughter, Megan Garcia (Joe); her son, Joe Paul Forsyth; and her cherished grandchildren, Addison, Aiden, Lorelei, and Alynah. She also leaves behind her family and friends near and far who will deeply miss her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Olga Eichler Kent; her father, Elvin Earl Mason; her brother, Gordon Leenerts; her partner, Andy Abhold; and the many beloved fur babies who brought her joy throughout the years.

Vicky will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of crocheting and crafting, her talent in the kitchen, her deep compassion for animals, and the unconditional love she gave to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the lives she touched, and the countless memories she created.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May she Rest In Peace.
