February 26, 1972 -- October 03, 2025

Kristine Joy Kellum February 26, 1972 – October 3, 2025 Kristine “Kris” Joy Kellum, lovingly known by many as “Joy” or “Muffy,” passed away on October 3, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 53. Born and raised in Albuquerque, Kristine lived a life filled with compassion, strength, and a deep love for her family and others. She dedicated much of her time to helping people overcome addiction through her work and service at Turning Point Recovery Center. Her heart for healing and care led her to pursue her nursing degree, and she found fulfillment in guiding others toward recovery and hope. Throughout her life, Kristine touched hearts in every place she lived — from Tyler, Texas, to Monterey, California, and back home to New Mexico. She had a love for the ocean, sea turtles, and all of God’s creatures. Her adventurous spirit carried her to new experiences like snowboarding for the first time, hiking through nature, and exploring the beauty of Hawaii with her loved ones. Above all, Kristine’s greatest joy was her children. She constantly looked out for her son, Brian, and her daughter, Khloe, ensuring they were cared for and encouraged to live their best lives. Her love, laughter, and warmth will forever live on in their hearts. Kristine is survived by her children, Brian Kellum and Khloe Kellum, her brother Rodney Noble Jr., and many beloved aunts, uncles, and extended family members who will cherish her memory. A memorial service celebrating Kristine’s life will be held on Friday, November 1st, 2025, at Christ Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
